Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by science, especially biology and neuroscience. I was always intrigued by the scientific content I consumed, whether in the classroom or on my own time through social media. Yet, as I grew older, I became more aware of the inequities and disparities, especially in education, and always knew I wanted to be a part of something that mitigated these issues. Eventually, I realized that by leveraging my passion for science and for social justice, I could make a more significant impact. That's why I started In White Coats, an initiative dedicated to reducing disparities in STEM education and ensuring that everyone has access to quality STEM opportunities, regardless of their socioeconomic status, race, location, gender, or background.
